Many people living in low-income countries rely on manual labor to earn an income to support their family, often the wages are enough to for the family of one or two children. When the number of children increases the income are not enough to support the daily needs of the children, particularly when the children started to go to school for education, which most often than not, they stop in high school, because the income are not even enough for the daily consumption of foods which leads to malnutrition. Low-income households usually spend the majority of total household income on food.


How to prevent the consequences of malnutrition through large size family

To prevent the malnutrition is to educate them to eat healthy using only what is available in their community, teaching them to plant vegetable as daily food. A healthy and balanced diet contains foods from all the major food groups. Educate the community what is the importance of family planning so that the next generation would limit their family number.

Lack of education leads to malnutrition, due to poverty. The interconnected nature of poverty because of large size family and malnutrition demonstrate the complexities in identifying major determinants of health as they relate to food security. Malnutrition has both micro- and macro-level consequences. Micronutrient deficiencies impair individual cognitive capacity and lower national IQ scores; they weaken individual immune systems and increase national mortality rates, and they hinder individual productivity, lowering national income and inhibiting economic growth.
