Bangsi (flute) - It is a bamboo duct flute which has a chip glued on the tube of the flute
Subing or Kinaban (Jaw's
harp) - It is a bamboo Jaw's Harp. You play it by putting it between your lips
and plucking the slightly pointed end. It is also known as 'kubing'. Other
indigenous groups such as T'boli, Ifugao, and Maranao also have their own
versions of Subing.
Gitgit (Lute) - It is a type
of indigenous violin with three to four strings made of human hair.
Lantoy - is a nose
flute
Batiwtiw - a bamboo
instrument from Mindoro about 40 cm long, played by striking the split end of a
bamboo against the left palm
Kudlong or Kutiyapi -
is a two-stringed lute shaped like a boat. It has wooden tightening rods and
frets made of beeswax.
Kudlung- a parallel two
stringed bamboo tube zither where the bamboo strings were stretched out of the
tube itself.
Musical Ensemble
Buray-Dipay -a bean-pod
rattle used with the kalutang instrument.
Kalutang -consists of
two pieces of wood, graduated in sizes, to produce different note ranges.
Agong (Gong) - Agong is a set
of two wide-rimmed, vertically-suspended gongs also used by the Maguindanao,
Maranao and Tausug people of the Philippines as a supportive instrument in
kulintang ensembles.
Agung - ensemble
consisting of two light gongs played by two men squatting on the floor. One plays the gong’s rim with padded sticks.
